The AC 275 is an active, phantom-powered direct box. Unlike a passive DI where the frequency response of the signal can be altered depending on the connected impedance, an active DI buffers the input signal with an amplifier. This assures that the sound source will reach the mixer balanced and noise-free. Housed in a cast alloy chassis, the AC 275 supplies two, high-impedance, unbalanced 1/4″ jacks and one low-impedance balanced XLR jack. It operates with battery or phantom power.

AC 275, aktif ve fantom güç ile çalışan bir doğrudan kutusu (direct box) modelidir. Pasif bir DI’ın aksine, sinyalin frekans tepkisi bağlı olan empedansa göre değişmez. Aktif bir DI ise giriş sinyalini bir amplifikatör ile tamponlar. Bu sayede ses kaynağı karıştırıcıya dengelemiş ve gürültüsüz bir şekilde ulaşır. Dökme alaşımlı bir şase içinde bulunan AC 275, iki adet yüksek empedanslı dengesiz 1/4″ jak ve bir adet düşük empedanslı dengelemiş XLR jak sağlar. Cihaz, batarya veya fantom güç ile çalışabilir.
